Position is either Montreal or Toronto-based and will require travel across the country to coach and work with sales representatives as well as regular travel to the Montreal head office.

Job Description

Reporting to the National Sales Director, the main responsibility of the National Sales Manager is to manage a team of Healthcare Solutions Managers (HSM), identify sales opportunities, contribute ideas to the business planning process and develop customer relationships. This person will also contribute to the development and execution of brand sales and marketing strategies that will result in the achievement of short- and long-term profit objectives. Key skills required for this position include Territory leadership and business management, time management, field work, high level of communication skills, performance management, and district administration.

Your Responsibilities

  • Assure excellent product knowledge and sales skills are obtained and maintained by each HSM.

  • Implementation of product strategies and sales goal achievement through the development of effective regional tactical plans and by motivating the HSMs to implement those plans and keep them up to date and actionable.

  • Maintaining and growing a high level of product knowledge

  • Ensure that HSMs compliance to external and internal standards of excellence including Endo Core Values, IMC code and PAAB.

  • Maximize territory productivity and meet local customer and market needs.

  • Aids in removing barriers for product use by navigating complex and diverse internal/external barriers including hospital formulary and protocol additions and changes.

  • Acting member of the national management team by sharing best practices, creating new approaches to the marketing of Paladin products and contributing ideas to the business planning process.

  • Play a consultative role in developing national strategic and tactical brand plans and directly lead the development and tracking of territory business plans.

  • Responsible for achieving or exceeding revenue and profitability targets.

  • Analysis of all sales data and timely communication of results to the HSM team

  • Design and execute effective and productive sales meetings.

  • Execute marketing and sales plans with excellence including sales force recruiting, training and roll out.

  • Complete administrative tasks accurately at the territory and national levels, including expense reports, time off territory reports, and sponsorship requests and management communications.

Your Profile

  • University degree in sciences, health sciences, pharmacy or business.

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) is an asset.

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including previous experience in people-leadership and sales.

  • CCPE accreditation.

  • Knowledge of IMS data (TSA, Xponent, Compuscript, CDH).

  • Sales knowledge and experience to specialists, specifically in a hospital setting.

  • Understanding of hospital formulary listing process and protocols.

  • Bilingual (French and English) with excellent oral and written communication skills.
